FAQs
When can I start antenatal Pilates?
1
You can usually begin from the second trimester, although some women may start earlier depending on their pregnancy and previous exercise experience. If you’re unsure, please feel free to contact me and we can chat through what feels appropriate for you.
Is antenatal Pilates safe during pregnancy?
2
Yes — sessions are physio-led and specifically adapted for pregnancy. We focus on safe movement, posture, breathing, mobility, pelvic floor support, and strength, with options and modifications to suit how you’re feeling each week.
What are the benefits of antenatal Pilates?
3
Our Nuaa Bloom class can help you stay active in pregnancy, supporting strength, posture, and pelvic floor health as your body changes.
What should I bring to class?
4
Wear comfortable clothing you can move easily in and bring your mat and water. Some women find having a flat cushion or towel helpful for added comfort during certain exercises.
Why do I need a screening call?
5
Every pregnancy is different. A short screening call helps us understand your stage of pregnancy, any symptoms or concerns you may be experiencing, and ensure the class is safe and suitable for you. It’s a relaxed conversation designed to help you feel confident, supported, and ready before starting your antenatal journey with NUAA.
What happens if I can’t make a class?
6
I understand that life can be busy and unexpected things come up. Your class place is reserved exclusively for you throughout the block, so unfortunately missed sessions cannot usually be refunded or carried forward. If you have any concerns or exceptional circumstances, please feel free to contact me and we can discuss it.
